Help a Child get through the day.
We will be working as a group using the charity pattern "Scribbles", available on Cyndy's web site.  This is a free pattern for anyone in our club or person that wishes to use it for charity purposes. Liz Seibold will draw the faces for those that are not ready for that sort of drawing yet.  If you were fortune enough to come to Artistic Figures in Cloth 2011 then you will find a pint size version of the same pattern.  Copies will be available to Guilded Lilies members at the Jan and Feb meetings.

Christmas Party and Doll Exchange

We had a lot of wonderful dolls exchanged this year.  However we really did not get any pictures of them.  I hope that they are brought to the Jan 2012 meeting, so that you can see them all.  We had a great dinner out and then went to Jody Miller's house to have a lot of laughter, a little wine and to exchange presents.

Winter Wonderland of fun

How to Personify anything by Kathryn Walmsley
We have had Kathryn twice before but she is just one of those teachers you can have over and over again.  She has so much to teach, so much to give and her head is bursting with inspiration.  Beyond that she is one of the best teachers ever.

Here are the starting projects. Just look at Janet's art work.  She started with a wooden hinged box!

Hidden Treasure - a Ribbon Ruching Class
by Cyndy Sieving
The being of a new technique.

Jody Miller

Jovetta Gorrell

The class was all about the decorating the box and bust with different ruching techniques. Part of the fun of ruching is you can add beads and trinkets as you go.  Above you can see Jovetta has decided to implant eyeballs into her pretty pink ribbon
Janet McMullen

Jean Underwood
Over to top Janet went with her own large box and Jean Underwood got so caught up in the ruching technique that she left the bust off the box.  Way to go Jean thinking outside the box!
